[Seabed] Mission Start

Having already been debriefed about the mission, the four find their way to the teleporter which will send them to the lab section of Pioneer 2. Passing through the corridors, they arrive at the portal which will send them to the underwater seabed facility. Nova has no idea what the conditions are like down below, but he accepted the quest knowing the possible consequences. There had been news of several Hunters gone missing, but of course, as a group of four, there are less chances of mission failure, hopefully with no casualties.

Upon entering Seabed, the four teammates could feel a certain ominous malignant spirit hanging around. That, combined with the dank atmosphere, didn't make the situation any better. Sage and Cran immediately cast Shifta and Deband, boosting the team's survival rate by a great margin. The first room, there are a few mutant squids about; Tsaru and Nova finish them off easily with their weapons drawn, and help from the two Forces supplement their attacks.

Down the next hallway, some more squids are wandering around, probably hoping for a meal of Hunters. Still, they're no match for the four. However, in the next large room, the trouble starts, albeit only slightly. With a Morfos in the center of the room and a couple Recoboxes surrounding it, there is difficulty targeting the deformed D-Cell being. The Recons spawning from the security machines are easily taken down by Sage and Cran's Megid, but for every one they successfully incapacitate, two more spawn. Tsaru, fed up with the fact that things are at a standstill, switches his Black King Bar out with a Rainbow Baton. Nova likewise switches weapons, but to a Hell Laser he had stowed in his data stream from a previous mission. Now armed with three instant-kill weapons and techniques and a multiple target hitter, they slowly push back the security machines, until two Megids fired explode the Recoboxes. Tsaru switches back to his double saber and rips through the Morfos, sending it backwards while disintegrating into fine dark powder and purple blood.

Moving forward, the team doesn't stop for a breather; nothing truly difficult has come up yet so while they have stamina, they move on. Down a couple more hallways, more squids appear. Again, they defeat them just as quickly as they appear. After that, the four arrive in a locked room. Four squids appear again, but defeating them this time produces a challenge: two Morfos spawn behind them and begin firing at the unsuspecting team. With quick footwork, they all jump into somersaults. Sage and Cran then both fire Megids, crumpling the Morfos into nothing. Fortunately, that time was easier than the large room before.

There are two paths to take at this point, but the group decides to move straight. Just down the hallway and to the right, they find themselves at a warp. Usually, warps lead to deadly situations, so Nova enters cautiously. The three wait until voice confirmation that it's safe to go. And with that, the three others enter. Tsaru is immediately surprised by the sheer amount of containers and begins spamming Gizonde to break them all open. Cran says, "Well, at least someone's happy..."

In the room adjacent to the small half-room, a small mob of squids appear. Tsaru whips out a Red Sword and Nova switches to his Flight Cutter, the photon shuriken. Cran distracts the squids by sending off a couple Gifoie while Sage attacks with his Yasminkov 2000H, an equip normally illegal by Force standards but only legal for Sage for he completed the Hunter's Academy as both a Force and a Ranger. They make short work of the squids. Then a warp suddenly appears under the disintegrating corpses of the squids. This time, they all enter simultaneously; according to the map, they end up back near the first warp.

A Morfos greets the quartet as they reappear with multiple lasers, all of which score hits on everyone. Nova takes his Yasminkov 7000V out and fires at the Morfos. A couple hits critically injure the Morfos, killing it a few moments later. At this point, the group decides to take a rest.
